After the great success of last year, the wonderful island of <\/span>Malta is preparing to become the “Blockchain Island”<\/i><\/b>, consolidating as a Country at the forefront of this technology, as it will once again host companies, startups and investors at the <\/span>Malta AI & Blockchain Summit<\/b> 2019<\/b>, which will take place on May 23 and 24, at the Hilton hotel in Portomaso.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Backed by the Maltese government, the summit has expanded considerably following the unexpected success of last year, when more than 8.500 participants, hundreds of new companies and developers came together to analyze possible investments, new companies and the long-term prospects for the blockchain industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event includes a focus on artificial intelligence along with blockchain technologies <\/b>and will host interest groups in <\/span>AI<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Big Data<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Blockchain<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>IoT<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>Quantum<\/span><\/i> Technologies, in <\/span>order to support an industry that is in full development and growth.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Malta Summit agenda includes expert and influential technology conferences, interactive debates and practical applications of technologies and <\/span>will host 100 startups<\/i><\/b>, <\/span>700 investors<\/i><\/b>, <\/span>5.000 delegations<\/i><\/b> and <\/span>300 exhibitors<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the program will include prominent names like <\/span>Roger Ver<\/i><\/b>, <\/span>Tim Draper<\/i><\/b> and <\/span>Ben Goertzel<\/i><\/b> of SingularityNET, along with the second appearance of the <\/span>robot Sophia<\/b>. The event will also be attended by the <\/span>Prime Minister of Malt<\/strong>a<\/strong>, Joseph Muscat, and the <\/span>Minister of Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation<\/b>, Silvio Schembri.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

More than 100 new companies will be selected to showcase their products and initiatives throughout the event, allowing the most promising entrepreneurs the opportunity to raise funds, find mentors and recruit the best talent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the coincidence, on the same date, of the <\/span>Fintech Unconference<\/b><\/a> in Madrid, this year Bitsa will not be present at the Malta Summit.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
